Following last year’s pre-Christmas sojourn into jazz, our friend Tom Greig returns with another fantastically festive themed mixtape of beautifully composed deepness. Starting off with his customary ‘slowed down’ version of Jessica Lauren’s ‘White Mountain’, Tom presents 80 minutes of spiritually charged music that would certainly suit an alternative midnight mass. There’s music from Jazz Meet favourites Michael Garrick, Jef Gilson, Norman Connors, Ramsey Lewis and Herbie Hancock to name but a few, while he delves a little deeper to pull out outstanding pieces from Herman Gehlen, Erich Heinschuster Sextet and Father Herrera and the Trio ESP. Filled to the brim with bright musical moments, the odd religious message and plenty of soothing sounds, we hope you enjoy this final regular mixtape of 2013 and thank you for your continued support throughout 2013 and beyond. We hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.
