This week’s session comes from our good friend Jarred Rice. You may remember that he was meant to join us for the inaugural Jazz Meet Live back in December but the severe weather put paid to his appearance that day. Well, a few months on and he finally makes his debut this Sunday as we return to The Shoreditch (in ahem… Shoreditch) for another full day of live jazz, funky fusion and a touch of Latin.
As a little primer to the event, he dropped this recent mix in to us and we’re more than happy to share it with you. What we get is a 45 minute selection of awesome jazz, an assorted pallet of moods including the eclectic range of Urszula Dudziak on “Kama (Part 1)” from Michal Urbaniak’s Fusion‘s highly rated “Atma” LP, British jazz from Dudley Moore, Tubby Hayes and Don Rendell, and Dave Mackay & Vicky Hamilton‘s irresistible version of Tom Scott’s “Blues For Hari”. Thanks for listening and if you enjoy the mix please feel free to drop Jarred some comments below on the Mixcloud page. We hope you can join us on Sunday for more vibes from Jarred, Nik and the live band.
