It’s been a while, but we’re back and this time around we welcome our good friend Adrian Leach from the Happy Jazz radio show for a cheeky guest mix. Adrian is certainly no stranger to the genre having collected the black stuff since the early 80’s, and here he supplies us with a quick insight into his own record collection. There’s plenty of rareness in the mix as Mr Leach pulls together an exotic looking tracklist of predominantly European jazz business, definitely not of your standard fare. Kicking off with the contemporary jazz sounds of the Pat Britt Quintet, and featuring the likes of the Werner Pfuller Quintet, the Borje Fredriksson Quintet, the Per Husby Septet and a little Hank Mobley, it’s a must for anyone who likes to dig a bit deeper. Give it a listen and treat your ears.
The Jazz Meet continue their weekly residency at The Shoreditch E1 tomorrow, pop down if you fancy some live jazz and great music.
Stream and download below. Until next time.
