Mix #4 rears it’s head and after yesterday’s little diversion into Latin and Brazilian territory from Jake Holloway, we delve right back into the jazz. Recorded live at last Sunday’s Jazz Meet Fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support, this time around Wah Wah 45s label boss Dom Servini steps up to the tables and as you’d expect, doesn’t disappoint. Pulling from a catalogue of music spanning the last 60 years, Dom drops newness from Zara McFarlane and the Hackney Colliery Band, and blends it with such classics from Dee Dee Bridgewater, Gary Bartz, Dizzy Gillespie and Sail-Joia. Oh and he even includes one of our favourite records in the form of the Ed Kelly Ensemble‘s mesmerizing ‘Samba‘. Result!
Listen up and if you haven’t checked the other four mixes in the series, seek them out as well. Then please help us do something great for charity and pop a couple of quid in our collection box over at our  JustGiving page. Thanks for passing through.
