So after our opening month in March at our new venue Floripa in Old Street EC2, we return for another five events in April bringing live jazz 5pm-12am every Sunday. In April, our resident live jazz band led by Jessica Lauren (Freestyle Records) and Jake Telford (OK_MA) will be playing four of the dates, bringing their own unique brand of dance floor friendly soul jazz to the floor. With a special Easter event lined up for April 8th you can also expect a few of our famous friends to drop in too (edit: Ms Heidi Vogel is now confirmed!). On Sunday April 22nd, we welcome the prodiguous talent Al Scott to our main stage. Heavily influenced by the master Bill Evans and fresh from releasing his debut LP ‘Introducing The Al Scott Trio’ late last year, the young musician brings his trio to play a rare set of piano-driven jazz.

Analog (or Gareth to his Mum) will be joining Nik behind the decks at The Jazz Meet this coming Sunday, and as a precursor to the event, he dropped us this fiery 50 minute selection. We love a bit of tropical heat here at Jazz Meet HQ and it’s perfect ear fodder for a Friday, so feel free to dig in and sample the delights of some strictly Latin dancefloor action. Inside we’ve got some Edwin Bonilla, Jimmy Saa, Michi Sarmiento, Edwin Clemente and even some Gloria Estefan on the funky ‘Heat’, while bands La Organizacion, La Excelencia and La 33 provide the serious Salsa rhythms. We hope you enjoy this sample mix and
Is it February yet? Blimey! First off… a BIG thank you to all who helped us make a storming start to 2012, we certainly couldn’t have done it without you folks and it’s a joy for us to look out to a room of friendly faces each week! Now the relentless group that we are, we’ve got a further four dates in the diary for the month of February. Yes, that means live jazz from the Jazz Meet collective and DJs playing jazz EVERY SUNDAY at The Shoreditch, E1, 3PM till close. In addition to all the usual fun, frolics, cocktail drinking and great, great music, this month we’re pleased to welcome two guest selectors into the fray to give us their own takes on jazz. First up on the 5th will be Analog Jones, one half of Twin Cities and DJ promoter of the legendary London Boglewaltz parties. He’ll
