A timely reminder of some of last Sunday’s highlights (Seriously we could have posted the whole gig, but bandwidth for a 3 hour strong upload might have been a problem). As you may already know, The Jason Simpson Quintet joined us on stage last week, bringing with them their own imitable take on a whole host of jazz past and present, and it was a CLASSIC. Jason is so serious on the bass and the rest of the band were equally impressive (Keys, drums and horn section all were on point throughout the gig). And right here, there’s not even an example of the drummer Brian Hedderman’s scatting. ‘Little Sunflower‘, that’s all I’m saying (Those that know, know). We’ll definitely be getting these guys back again in the coming months so bide your time if you missed it. While you wait, check out the three videos below!
