A Tribute to Cal Tjader with Orphy Robinson and Jessica Lauren LIVE

Tonight, The Jazz Meet pays homage to the late, great Cal Tjader. Expect an evening of vibes led Latin Jazz as we proudly welcome not one but two leading lights of London’s music scene, vibraphonist and multi-instrumentalist Orphy Robinson (The Jazz Warriors) and the versatile keyboard prowess of Ms Jessica Lauren. Forming the nucleus of the band this week, the pair will be dipping into the vast catalogue of the Latin legend’s catalogue to perform two sets of some of his most endearing compositions while in the DJ box, Jazz Meet resident Rob Coley and special guest Mr Boogie AKA The Vinyl Junkie (Melting Pot / Soulsa) raid their own records collection before, after and in between to bring you more music touched by the mallets of Tjader.
