Our first (second?) mix of 2012 is an absolute killer. We’ve had some great mixes over the past year, but this one is up there with the best so far – whether it gets the props we guess is up to you guys! Jazz Meet resident Jarred Rice is a maniac record collector. He regularly travels to far off places and doesn’t return until he brings back a bag or two full of untold gems, and here he is again blending another hour-long vinyl only set of funky fusion and jazz rock flavours. This isn’t your standard bebop affair so be warned, Jarred digs deep to bring you some serious moments of extreme musicianship from the farther reaches of the jazz spectrum, but it sure is funky! We hope you enjoy the sounds and you can catch Jarred alongside special guests Alan McKinnon, Emanative and Max O’Donnell’s Jazz, Roots and Grooves playing live later today at The Shoreditch, E1 for our first Jazz Meet Live session of the year. Thanks for listening!
