So we’re finally pleased to officially announce that from Sunday May 15th, we’ll be making The Jazz Meet Live a weekly excursion at The Shoreditch. That means you can expect more live sessions, more bands passing through (and possibly a few big names when they’re in town) and of course more guest DJs, who will not only be sharing their jazz vinyl with us after the live sets but who will also hopefully be happy to add to our burgeoning jazz mixtape series too. So even if you aren’t based in London, we’re hoping you can still benefit too!
We’ve got plenty of goodness lined up for the Summer months already, with plenty more to come, so we hope you can join at some point in the futureto check out what’s going down. Here’s the schedule for the rest of May:

This coming Bank Holiday Sunday sees the next installment of The Jazz Meet at The Shoreditch. Moreover it also sees us kick off a new weekly session at the venue where we’ll be providing a more regular fix of straight ahead jazz, fusion and Latin-infused grooves to the area’s clientele. We’ve got some big plans for the additional dates but as we’re still putting the finishing touches to the May and June schedules you’re just going to have to wait a little longer to find out what’s on the menu.
In the meantime though, all roads lead to The Shoreditch on Sunday for another official date with the Jazz Meet Band. I think it’s fair to say the last band session was a roadblock and we’re hoping for more of the same in a week’s time, as Jake Telford, Jessica Lauren, Max O’Donnell and a host of other musicians from the London music scene drop in to provide another two sessions of live music on a funky jazz tip. To get a flavour of what goes down each month, please check our videos section.
Accompanying the band and ensuring the vibes between the band sessions are bubbling off stage too, we have the Jazz Meet resident DJs Nik Weston, label boss of Mukatsuku Records and Rob Coley (Soul-Identity) who will be delving into their record boxes for some additional dancefloor orientated jazzual treats. We’re also very lucky on this occasion to be able to welcome behind the decks one of London’s best loved faces on the scene, Kola Abidogun, an accomplished jazz dancer from the JazzCotech Dancers and a serious selector in his own right. Kola will be bringing down some choice jazz cuts from his extensive collection and sharing a little set with us for the club session from 7pm. He might even give us a dance or two too!
